Maintaining Your Status on the Waiting List
The AHA periodically purges the waiting list. If you are added to the waiting list, you will receive a mailing from the AHA requesting that you verify your information and return it to us if you are interested in remaining on the waiting list. The mailings will be sent to the mailing address on your application. If you do not respond to our notifications, or your letter is returned by the U.S. Postal service, your name will be removed from the waiting list.
You will be notified by mail when your name reaches the top of the waiting list. It is very important for you to report any changes to your mailing address to the AHA to ensure that all mail is sent to the correct address. Failure to report a change of address may result in the removal of your name from the waiting list. All changes must be reported in writing to the AHA. No changes will be accepted over the telephone.
Your position on the waiting list may fluctuate up or down depending upon verification of preferences.
